Description: ![]() Objectives of this cradle were: low weight, robustness, and ease of use. Construction is based on aluminum profile and rivets (difficult to make more robust). Vertical angle of camera is adjustable with a screw. A micro motor integrating a reduction gear controls the rotation, with direct coupling with vertical axis. The electronic board is based on a Microchip PIC16C84 microcontroller. Programming of the cradle is controlled by a single push button and monitored through buzzer beeps. Shutter release of Yashica T5 is electrically controlled. Before each shutter release, the PIC16C84 programs the Yashica T5 in landscape mode focus. If you are interested in the details of electronics, see electrical drawing and download the PIC assembler code and programming file.
