Description:

Mechanics is based on aluminum profile (see mechanic workshop).
A sub-micro servomotor controls the shutter release of the Yashica T5.
The radio link is based on 434MHz transmitter and receiver modules and is controlled by a microcontroller PIC16F84 (see electronic workshop).

The control panel contains a 2 lines of 8 characters LCD, 2 knobs and 1 button :

A potentiometer to control the vertical angle of the camera,

A 360°-24 positions coder to control the horizontal direction,

A push-button to release the camera.

The position of rotary knobs reflects exactly the direction and vertical angle of the camera. This feature permits to accurately adjust the camera position even if the camera in out of sight.
The cradle is powered with a 6V lithium battery CR-P2/DL223. The radio control panel is powered with a 9V 6F22 battery.

The complete aerial photography system, with cradle, camera, radio control panel and suspension is held in a single box whose dimensions are 30.5cm x 19.5cm x 6.5cm.
